It seems every day we see more bad news about sickness and isolating ourselves to stay safe. We know that at this time you need community more than any other, yet we are forced into quarantine in order to care for ourselves and our families.
You are part of our Yoga community, so much more than a just a place to practice, Yoga Nook has been built on the support of our members and your needs are of principle concern. I recognize that all of us are being affected financially, Yoga Nook is not alone, as small business all over the country are struggling during these exceptional times. Further, I think it unethical to continue to draw the same amount of membership dues from your accounts while we are closed. Even though we are not currently holding classes we still must pay our bills, but with no teachers teaching we can create some significant savings and pass that on to you, our clients. To this end I want to announce that we will make a blanket decrease of the monthly withdrawal fees while we are closed to help you, our students. This will take effect the 1st of April and 15th of April 2020. You will see a discount applied for this time. We will re evaluate after the 15th of April, hopefully by then we will be able to see a way through.
If you have a paid in full annual membership, then the due date will be extended for a month and those of you with class cards or a one-month membership can come back and use them when you are able. Expiry dates on purchases made before the closure will not be applied.
In the meantime, we have set up several classes on our YouTube page and we encourage you to practice with us online as more of your favorite teachers present a personal class for you.
These are frightening and chaotic times. We all need to be grounded, rooted in our practice with asana that helps us to feel courageous, in control and victorious. With meditation you will help to relive anxiety and be able to appreciate the abundant spring that is happening around us even while we hunker down to wait out this virus.
We will emerge and dance in the sunshine once more my friends, we just need to stay calm and carry on.
