Yoga Nook Teacher Training

RYT 200 Teacher Training - January, 2018

Teacher Training Synopsis

Yoga Nook’s Hatha Teacher Training Program (YHTTP) has been educating and mentoring yoga professionals for over a decade. In this program you will learn and deepen your knowledge in Yoga technique, experiential anatomy, communication, ethics and self study. Our program offers a wealth of information for those who plan to teach yoga as a career and/or for those looking to gain more yoga knowledge in their personal practice.

We have five faculty teachers presenting the program and enriching it with their own experiences. The 11 month program offered by Yoga Nook has been audited by an independent educational authority and awarded 12 college units. We are happy to help students petition for these units to be awarded and recognized for other educational institutions.  We have also been awarded continuing education credits from both NASM and AFAA.

In 2017 Yoga Nook's YHTTP was recognized by Simi Valley School District and is used by physical education teachers adding yoga as part of their curriculum. Further information is provided in the syllabus.  Read more...

Truly life changing on and off the mat. --- Anonymous

This program is very different from others.  I took my first 200 RYT from another studio, it was an accelerated program and I felt very rushed through the process.  I graduated very unprepared to teach yoga.  In my opinion, the Yoga Nook way is unique.  The focus is on practicing and teaching in a very functional way.  The journey was the best part.  It allowed me to get to know myself better and I had a much easier transition into my teaching career once I completed the teacher training at the Yoga Nook. --- T.E.
